Look, Stacy posted art on her site, and some of it even has *colors*! A sample . . .

I am James Potter, Quidditch god!

Trying to get away from the anime style on these somewhat . . . I know I got a buncha artists on here - any feedback?

Hah, I have nothing really constructive to say, but I will say that I LIKE this picture. Something about his face is just really cool - I think it's the style of his nose. And his gloves are awfully cool - nice texturing on both them and the robe. I hate the way JPEGs always screw up reds, though. =O

It's still very anime-style though, I think... something about the face shape, maybe? *considers*

*sigh* I know I'll probably never be able to escape the anime influence completely, since it's what I learned to draw with.

I would say it's the disconnect of the whites of the eyes and the eyelids. I personally love it, your style reminds me slightly of the Xmen:Evolution designer, who also did Eight Crazy Nights and some other goodies...BTW, what's up with Jou? ^^ Are we going to do a scene?

I think you may have hit on the anime connection . . . it's that lack of lines on the eyes. But . . . argh, I can't bring myself to define them that much in the outlining! Most of these are so small, and I'm doing them on my little scratch pad at work, so my mechanical pencils don't give me a fine enough line for that -_- Meh. But if they do have a more 'American' animated style . . . that's sort of what I'm going for. NEVER would I attempt photo realism.

Jou has been . . . on vacation. Actually, I haven't even been reading the LJ the last week or so. Eh heh heh. ^_^b Had any plotting in mind?

Looked through all the new pics. I'm really loving this Harry Potter kick you're on. You've got such a cute style, and I agree about Rupert vs. Ron. It's much fun to see this stuff. What I like best about your style is the way you draw expressions. The faces are all great. ^_^

So he is! :D I like this newish style a lot....although it isnt *too* different from your old one. The lack of lineart on the tops of his glasses makes them look more realistic, I think. And I like how you drew the gloves as well. *____*

My brain had two reactions to this:
1)The Egomaniac Side - "Oh, you all just thought I was awesome BEFORE, so this newfound awesomeness doesn't seem too surprising." ^_~
2)The Self-depreciating Side - "*sigh* Well, we can't expect miracles can we?"
Strange how these two halves of my brain can coexist so peacefully.
But no, I know it's not a BIG difference. Maybe the difference is more in how I'm approaching it, but the end result is looking the same? Do all roads lead to Rome? Crap! >_
