You're the first to read this, or maybe just the first to say anything about it. ;) I appreciate the feedback. As much as I love writing fanfic, I also step out into the original character world, and folks are less likely to comment on original stories than they are on fanfic.

Writing "in the cracks" left by the original author makes fanfic delicious (you get to flesh out the world you already like), but as a writer, I find Ofic more nourishing.

I'm not complaining about lack of feedback for it--Ofic doesn't come with a built-in group of interested readers--and at the same time, I was happily surprised to find your response to it. I still accept the hug, though. :)
