I should have voted for Saxton Hale

Then government would be fun.
Now we're going to have to put up with some overly smug woman that uses too many vowels. Dammit.

Hey, if I were you, I'd gladly take "overly smug woman" over "reactionary racist" any day of the week.

Of course, I'm not Australian, so that probably says a lot. XD

True. But I probably would have said something similar if Abbot had won - I really don't like either of them! XD

Better the overly smug woman than the overly smug man with some unappealing views on women. Also, I think he'd be embarrassing on the international stage.

Mm! Goodness knows that if the APEC happened with Abbot in power they certainly wouldn't be wearing Drizabones (and I really didn't need that mental image)!
I just don't like the either of them (and I'll never pass the opportunity to piss and moan).

I think a lot of people didn't like either of them...which was certainly reflected in the way we had to arrive at a final outcome.

What annoyed me most, overall, was that news outlets still had to write articles explaining to people how preferences work after people had voted because people were wondering why, if they voted for this person, why that other person was getting the votes. *shakes the Australian public* Learn about your electorate, damn you! Learn!

...

Sorry for the caps. People annoy me. Not you. You're good people.
