Google's goals are laudable in some ways, like any child with web access could look at a book in a library in a country they will never visit. OTOH, when it comes back around to infinite storage of someone's web searches out of context, that is just ridiculous, venal, and with the growth rate of Google, somewhat alarming.

I'm usually not this paranoid, but I can't help but predict that Google is going to slowly start buying additions to its information empire. Google seems so benign, but has a phenomenal power, and that's a scary combination if you take things to their logical conclusion.

I personally don't care, I expect everything I've ever done on the internet to be found.

I see your point and agree with you to a point. That said, do you leave your house and car doors unlocked as well?
