Продолжаю раз в месяц делиться с ванкуверцами и гостями нашего города списком запланированных мероприятий и событий, о которых мне известно. (Список пополняется в течение месяца).

Vancouver Asian Film Festival: November 4-7, 2010
The 14th Annual Vancouver Asian Film Festival is running from November 4th to 7th, 2010 at Cinemark Tinseltown theater. Launched in 1996, it is Canada's oldest Asian film festival, exhibiting films and videos by North American artists of Asian heritage.

Marianne Schmidt and Vancouver's music community present the 4th annual Forget Me Not All-Star Musical Revue in order to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. (ASBC) and in honour of Marianne Schmidt's mother. The ASBC provides support and help to more than 63,500 people in B.C. who are currently impacted by Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Forget Me Not All-Star Musical Revue will include stellar performances by Chilliwack, Aaron Pritchett, Shaun Verreault, One More Girl, Lyin' Bastards, Texas Flood, Higgins, Gary Comeau, Stonebolt, Brent Lee, Loretta and the 4 Mingos, Brickhouse, Terminal Station, and more!

6th Annual Musical Salute to Veterans Mount Baker Theatre Main Stage Friday, November 12th, 2010 8:00pm As our nation commemorates Veteran’s Day, we in Whatcom County are treated to a Musical Salute to Veterans. A family event, the Salute is designed to bring honor and respect to those that served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces. The show will honor five local veterans through slides, narration and song.

More than two million twinkling lights transform the forest, the train and children’s farmyard areas in the middle of the city’s wondrous Stanley Park. OPEN 3 PM TO 10 PM DAILY from Fri. Nov. 26/10 to Sun. Jan. 2/11. Closed Dec. 25, Christmas Day.

Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum - Burnaby

Enjoy the boughs, red bows and all the other old-fashioned ornaments and decorations throughout the village and farmhouse. The season features traditional entertainment, demonstrations, hands-on activities and exhibits from the early 1900s. The daily craft is as popular with children as is a chat with Father Christmas. Highlights include: Father Christmas; Footlight Theatre; Baking in the Farmhouse; Twelve Days of Christmas scavenger hunt.
