update: i went back to best buy with my sister today so she could replace her iPod, and i discovered that they DID have the Vaio in stock.. so... i got my new computer! Yay!!

and no, i can't afford it. but my dad is very understanding and said he would help pay for it.

NB* this morning the monitor on my laptop fried itself. cost of repair? 800$. cost of a new, better laptop that DOESNT suck and that will be up-to-date for the next 6 years? 1200$. you betcha... i bought a new laptop today.
