The Heights of Ha Ha

The CBC is running "The Pink Panther" tonight, the original from 1962, starring David Niven and Peter Sellers -- it came on after the hockey post-game show. This is one of my favorite movies, and I think it may be my favorite comedy. If I've seen better, I'm blanking at the moment.

Weigh in now, and maybe you'll give me some rental ideas....

Hrm. All my favorites are in such scattered genres.

I'll go with M*A*S*H*, the original, not the TV series. Widescreen, if you can rent it that way; there are some visual jokes that vanish in pan-and-scan.

I still have to go with Young Frankenstein. Doesn't matter how many times I see it, I still laugh.
