The dawning realization that you'd miscalculated must've been horrible! I've had a few of those "oh shit!" moments myself. Mend well and get back on those slopes as you have a score to settle with a certain ramp.
Horrible, indeed. It was one of those moments when time seemed to slow and I remember my thoughts clearly -- thinking, "Oh shit -- this is NOT the small ramp!" as I hit the bottom and starting going up, and then, while flipping over in mid-air, thinking, "Maybe I can just flip 360 and I'll be alright!" *sigh* It'll be a long 9 months to wait for next season, but I'll be back up there.
Thank you. It'll be tough sitting on the sidelines for this long -- I know I haven't been out as often lately, but 3-4 months is much longer than I'd ever thought I'd be away! I'll be back as quickly as possible, you can count on that.

Somewhere in Michigan at this very moment, Skip is saying, "No Pain! Doesn't Hurt!" followed by Tim's voice, "You're dead Skip!" and the punchline, "Ok, just a little!"
Lucky Bastard...
I'm really glad I don't have to look forward to visiting my Cali-fornicated bro in a wheelchair.
I've always been familiar with your re-known pain threshold. Back in college, I remember you leaped off an elevated platform, scraping your face up so bad, Pete and Chet called you Two-Face for a week. However, this is considerable.
Imagine if you hadn't worn the pads when your body absorbed the impact.
Glad to hear Nurse Shelly is on the job. :)
Look forward to viewing all those miniature painting projects to get underway...

Oh, Jesus... Skip! And I'd almost forgotten the whole "Two-Face" thing, too! And that, my brother, is why we keep each other around -- to look back and share a laugh with someone about things that no one else in our lives even know! :-)
