yeah they were right yesterday.. although it did say "a shower or two".. Which was torrential... so erm... Today's shower or two is very different to yesterdays and definitely the day before?! They were predicting monsoonal yesterday!

'coz they sure as hell didn't predict the torrential downpour that hit just before 4pm, taking me by surprise without an umbrella (ella, ella, eh, eh, eh, eh) completely soaking me!
Past tense is "rode" as in "I rode", "Ridden" is the past participle, as in "I have ridden". Because of the infinitive "have" which has been contracted in this case ("could've") it calls for past participle rather than past tense :) Incidentally, it ought to be "in to" in this situation because it's about travelling rather than an act of insertion. Ah grammar, if only it had rhyme and reason :)
