There are many sugar substitutes, though if you ask me stevia seems the most natural, and it's calorie-free even though supposedly using too much leaves an herbal, "bitter" aftertaste. It's waaay stronger than sugar. Also, it's not FDA certified as a sugar substitute, but you can buy it in a supplement form (there's some at Alternatives

BUT, I would be betraying the true nature of my whole cleansey idea. I'm trying to stay away from all sweeteners, not just sugar, so stevia and honey and rice syrup and anything else would be cheating, but only really cheating myself. I'm trying to prove that I can make it without sweets.
Besides, we're so sweet that I shouldn't even NEED cake...

Aww, yeah :D That's true, you don't need cake ;) I guess once I make rules I find ways to eat what I want (vegan anything!!) but that's not the purpose of lent-y things is it o_< I wouldn't be able to live without baked goods~~ you have so much resolve! YAAY!! Who needs cake when you're Anita :D Happy omg-one-week-until-our-birthday!

I guess once I make rules I find ways to eat what I want (vegan anything!!) but that's not the purpose of lent-y things is it o_<
