So today was uneventful. The glass guy called several times to update me on the fact that they have been unable to find anyone in NC who carries the particular piece of glass I need for my car, and so they won't have one till tomorrow or the next day. Joy. There was a wasted afternoon.
I did paint the crib, first coat anyway. looks good so far.

So some Ass broke into Stephen's car over the weekend and stole the stereo. They smashed the driver's side window all to hell and stole a stereo not worth stealing, and thereby costing us a lovely sum of $210 for the window, god knows what for the stereo,  and Stephen's sanity.  Oh and an hour or two of my day tomorrow while I wait for the glass ( Read more... )

So we had one hell of a scare with Alli last nihgt, but thankfully, it seems to all be OK now. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping like hell that it all progresses normally. We shopped. We ate. We wanted his brother to leave. He's still here. We saw aalli & jamie. Alli seemed to be feeling much teh same as I, blech. Jamie, of course, was happy. he is always happy. It's sickening. No one should be that cheerful. Ever.

I am cursed. Every raptor I transport to the raptor center dies. It is always an owl, and it always dies. Just like the Barred Owl I took today. I went out in the pouring rain to rescue this damned bird, and it had to be euthanized when i got to CRC. And even though it is not my fault, I always feel guilty when it happens.

Stephen moved the TV from the bedroom into the office and hooked up the dvd player so that I can sit here and play on the computer and watch Stargate SG-1. Add to that the fact that I made a batch of hershey's syrup enhanced brownies...and I'm in pure heavenly bliss ( Read more... )

No houseguests, no husband, no anyone.  
I painted. Not a wall either. 
I painted on canvas. 
I am alone and I painted on canvas. 
I am in heaven.

I'm happy. I had a very satisfying day.

In other news, My brother in law's wife and kids will be here shortly, to stay the weekend with us. have decided to come tommorow.yay.
