My goodness - probably one of the most difficult trips I have heard. But you did it- kudos to you all. Best wishes in the next few days.

I suspect that the gate situation at CDG is as bad as that because of the collapse of part of terminal 2E, the newest and largest terminal, which has forced some flights to go to Orly airport and all the rest to get shuffled around (since 2E was the Air France/Delta/Skyteam shiny-new-hub terminal).

My previous trips through Paris have not been nearly so bad; the last one, though, we came back through 2E (which they are saying they may have to completely demolish...).

"If it's Tuesday, this must be Paris" anonymous June 9 2004, 12:25:35 UTC
Whew! What a trip. I am so sorry to hear the experience was so dreadful. I never wanted to go to Paris anyways, guess that reaffirms that.

By the time you get this message, you will all be in Poland with all your children! Yeh! The comment about the Postui taxubic (sp?) when they brought out the "big van" really cracked me up.

We drank the water right out of the tap at the Novotel Centrum. There were signs in the bathroom it was filtered and we usuffered no ill effects. I would think the Marriott should be okay as well. Save your money for more important things, like the Smyk sklep (toy store for non-Polish readers of this) or soup from Zupy Marek!

God Bless, Janet

I hope this is the worst part of your trip, and everything goes smoothly from here on. It almost has to be better than this!

Love, in Our Lady, Elizabeth
