Thank you for these posts anonymous May 4 2004, 05:40:56 UTC
It is such a joy to be able to follow you as you spend time with the children and they become part of your family. You are doing a fantastic job! I hope your DA sets the minimum possible waiting time to bring them to America.

Love to all, in Our Lady, Elizabeth

Same Driving anonymous May 4 2004, 05:53:25 UTC
Well it at least sounds like the drivers make you feel like you are at home in Massachusetts!! :-) Sounds like things are going well and you are bonding with the children well. It's an exciting time and writing the journal is an excellent idea to capture these memories. Look forward to seeing y'all when you get home. Tom

I remember having the same adjustment to Israeli cusine (minus the pork+pork accessories). Why is eggplant served with everything. Yes I know it's fried/hot/other but what is it? How many different grades and consistency of yogurt can you have anyway? And when you get into chocolate spread and proliferation of hazelnut in everthing it just gets wonky.
Don't worry, baby. When you get home, we'll have teriyaki.

Diet Coke anonymous May 4 2004, 11:51:56 UTC
"Diet Coke" is not "Coke a Cola Light" but simply "Coca Cola Light"... and it is true in the whole Europe - not just Poland :)

Well, I think I'll go to Poland! It sounds like that would be the place I would loose weight! Nothing sounds appealing to eat! I bet you can't wait to get home to some good food! I guess I'll have to have a pan of brownies waiting for you guys, huh?! Love, Robin H.

Not bad -- just different anonymous May 5 2004, 03:35:44 UTC
I need to clarify. The food is just different. I had never thought to put carrots on my hamburgers, but heck, you should try it. All of that having been said, we will happily take that plate of brownies. We also would not mind a soak in the hot tub. Our legs have been getting a workout.

Miss you all.

I dare to differ! From what I know Polish food is not only better tasting than our American plastic mush, it also happens to be all organic and natural i.e. no chemicals or wax, so I guess if that's what your taste buds are used to - yeah, it is way different but you want to know my opinion - it's different BETTER...
