E &I- You have helped me redecorate my room and reorganize my day. I've had to place a duzi box of kleenex and trash can right next to the computer and I get up 10 min. earlier than norm to check my computer for new journal entries~ I am officially addicted and don't what I'm going to do when you come home! Thank you for allowing us to share this experience with you (and for the Polish lessons)~Gina, your devoted LithMommy friend

E & I,
Thanks so much for posting your journal. It has been great to read about your adventure. I am also addicted and look forward to hearing from you.

How old was the little pig-tailed girl? Does she need a mom?

L - I have two cats and I'm allergic. Most cat owners are but we get the shots and take the medicine. There are cats that don't cause allot of problems though. Just thought I'd pass this on in case your little one wins this one. ;-)

I'm looking forward to seeing the new pictures when they are posted.

Sue

As previously mentioned, they are not in a city in Poland. They're in a village way out in BFE. It's like comparable to outside the 495 ring in Massachussets. Also, as I'm suspecting you are the same person who posted about the ice cream, why would you think Somalia wouldn't have ice cream? It's a pretty basic, not to mention ancient concoction. However the fact that it exists in practically every culture in the world does not mean that everyone in the word has had it.
I suggest you reread your comments and ask yourself who is really being patronizing. You do not have a monopoly on truth or opinions. People can only call what they see, and I suggest that your vision is equally limited. You're offended. Congratulations. Stop reading. Or you can keep reading and keep your comments to yourself. As E herself would say, you don't have to say everything you think. Sometimes it's better to just maintain a dignified silence.

(I managed to avoid being snarky about the ice cream comment, but I refuse to let this one stand unrebutted

My grandmother is half-Polish and she used to serve us potato pancakes all the time, and she'd put maple syrup on them for us. Mmmmmmmm...

This concept must be coming from the other half of your grandma as I know some 100% Poles who have never heard of potato pancakes with anything else but gulash...

I'm sure that must have been heart breaking to see. My eyes are filling up as I read. Imagine the other children knowing your three are with you? It must be so sad to see! I am, however enjoying the pictures. What a beautiful family! Ross will complete it! Love, Robin H.
