What about Proposition 8 and that ilk? You were the one disappointed, not too long ago, that in the world of film Crash made it ahead of Brokeback Mountain because Crash was a safe kind of tension; a film that people could still say 'Look, this is about racial tension, equality, we can feel good about this' - but it wasn't what was needed.

Yes, maybe change will come. But I am not that hopeful.
