1sentence (Challenge theme: Delta)
Pairing: Sebastian Michaelis/Ciel Phantomhive (Kuroshitsuji)
Notes: I say pairing, but it’s more gen than anything. I’m also skipping all over the timeline here, using way too many run-on sentences, stuffing up my tenses everywhere, and probably making everyone OOC *fails* Who knew writing one sentence per prompt

Abiding by contract terms is a demon’s aesthetic; obligatory servitude and duty towards a human master, even as young and weak as his, is merely part of a hedonistic indulgence - he makes it clear to Ciel Phantomhive that even all the trappings of love and loyalty can be bought, for a price.
Ruthless sentence, dear writer, and so very realistic, too. It is my favorite of them, even if it makes me whine while thinking that still...still...if they could both be more human...
I think you did a great job, I hope write some more!

I think a huge part of the appeal for Sebastian/Ciel (for me) is their antagonistic relationship. There's a tacit understanding and distinct lack of affection between them, but there's trust in each other's predictability and ability to fulfil their roles as master and servant.

i liked earth a lot, too. 8) ♥ but bugs was my favourite. xD xD

I'm glad you liked them! 'Bugs' took a while to fine-tune; I would've preferred a more explicit statement of Ciel squishing the bug as a substitute for Sebastian, for pure pettiness' sake.

no no, imo the subtlety worked well. |Db ♥ any more direct and it might've lost its bittersweet touch, i think. xD

I enjoyed the focus on the creepiness of Sebastian, and the generally unaffectionate tone struck between the two, with maaaaybe something sneaking in. (The ambivalence as to whether this is simply dependence/interest, and actually...pretty unhealthy! vs actual affection and partnership and a softening on both parts is hard to say, and probably the most interesting part of the series for me, and I think you captured the dynamic well.)
