Yesterday...

I was making soup... it was going to be very good soup... but while I was cutting up onions and the pan for them was heating up... I somehow managed to slice through half my finger nail on the left-hand ring finger... as well as some of the skin at the end. Yeah, it sucked... at first I was in shock, and didn't really register what had happened.

Yeah... I wish they did... but it was rather stupid of me... I shouldn't rush when using very sharp things on somewhat slippery things... *bad Vonne*

*re-reads comment*Umm...that should have been "don't guard against" But you probably got that. I just don't know how I got "to" from "don't"...
And, well, now you know, and hopefully remember this next time you're cutting onions. So how bad was it really? 'Cause you make is sound like it wasn't bad, but was just bleeding a lot for the heck of it...

half centimeter diameter circle-ish shape, middle finger side of the ring finger. it's dead, but not fallen off. Not bad enough that i would force her to go to the hospital.

And yes, she was very giggly.

I did something similar once when I was about 10.
It was my index finger and it was with a pocket knife. Cut straight into nail as if I jabbed my finger at the blade.

It didn't hurt at first, but I registered something was messed up metal was spiked through my finger. My parents saw and they ended up bandaging it up. All in all, I have no scars from it...oddly enough.
