cultural assumptions are something!! I remember when first getting a work-permit and transfering from dependent pass. My HR just assume I am on dependent pass of my husband! I only realised their assumption when they were asking for marriage certificates. They assume a girl at the age of 25+ must be married! hrmmppphhh...
