Supernatural: "Salvation" Review

Apr 29, 2006 02:37

"Salvation" was great for many reasons but the first few minutes gave me great joy because the show has a new opening, and well that’s a good sign for season two. Because surely they wouldn’t bother with that if this season was the last one, IMO ( Read more... )

hey friend, I had to delete the post you commented on because it wasn't the right one, sorry! I don't know why my ramblings were posted twice (the one you commented on wasn't spell checked), weird.
Anyway, I do agree with you, this ep killed me! LOL

Meg’s accomplice is the actor from “First wave” and apparently it makes a lot of fans happy. I never enjoyed “First wave” but well, so far, I can’t complain about the actor.

happy??

LOL yeah I read your LJ and that's where I saw you an Acostilow were gushing in excitement :)
Speaking of excitement I have these huge hi-res pix of Jared and I'm looking for a server where I could upload them. Know where I could put them? I'd like to have a Jared picspam on my LJ.

Having no air in your tires makes your car impossible to control (steer), because the surface on which you're suspended is all wrong. If you were trying to get away in a straight line, it might be better than running, but the chance for disaster is too great.

I was left wondering about the mothers and babies, too. Does the demon always kill the mother, or only if she happens to walk into the room? What does it want with the babies - killing them or taking them? Does it always set the house on fire, possibly killing both parents if they happen to be asleep? Lots of unanswered questions left.

And yeah, Jess really doesn't fit into this pattern at all, so I'm thinking maybe it's the demon waging a war against the Winchester men by going after the women they love. Or something...

Loved this ep from the beginning to the end, and can't wait until next week. I have a bad feeling about Papa's chances - I was thinking "Please, please Kripke, don't kill Papa, please!" for most of this ep, and will continue with that until I see the last ep, I guess. I haven't heard anything about JDM's situation with the other shows he's been on, maybe that's a factor on Papa's chances of survival?

I have been trying to find out what would happen in JDM in Grey's Anatomy as well. But so far, I dunno. Well, only a few days to wait, I suppose...
I hope daddyW won't die but I can't imagine season 2 with the 3 Winchesters fighting demons. I love it too much when it's just Sam and Dean. :)

I don't see JDM becoming a cast regular, but I'd love to see Papa popping up every now and then next season (like he's done this season) if he survives this one. And hey, maybe they'll do more flashback scenes so we'll get to see Papa even if he doesn't.

I love Sam & Dean, but I also think that the family dynamic (which I love to bits) is even more interesting with Papa around. It's like Sam & Dean's relationship moves to another plane when you put Papa into the mix. But having that all the time would get boring at some point, I think. I guess I'm actually okay with having an occasional stand-alone "filler episode" with minimal continuity, and I certainly don't need Papa for those.
