A date: isn't that a number?

I seem to have won a "date" with one Master Snape in an auction. However, he comes across as one that I would be more interested in learning from than actually participating in this "dating" thing the modern folk use.

I do wonder how much he knows about potions.

A rather sizable amount, since you wonder.

Greetings, Master Snape. I am sure you will be relieved to discover that I only wish to talk with you, unlike what I fear some others had prepared for you.

I know it will be difficult to discover the extent of your knowledge in one evening, but perhaps you could enlighten me as to what the wizards and witches of your day can do with their potions?

*nods* Greetings. And yes, it is most comforting.

As far as what we can accomplish, quite a number of things, to be perfectly honest. There are, of course, love potions, sleep potions, luck potions, a wide variety of poisons, of course... I could go on for quite some time.

Of course, in my time, we did enough with love and sleep potions, as I am sure you well know. Poisons have always been popular.

Can you tell me more about the luck potions? Those, at least, were not known to me.
