actually, i am a friend to emo, but i think most people make exceptions like that when they see how big of a mess dan harrold is.

anyway, garbage. for some reason girls can resist garbage.

Very true! Garbage is a shitty band and girls, just like us men, often times realize that they're not worth our time. I'd skip past Garbage and just offer her something that doesn't suck. P.J. Harvey, maybe?

you gotta start her off slowly otherwise she'll look at it all like some kind of burden. Throw her a light starter kit and then move her into the pulp of it all. my starter kit would include more easy to like stuff such as the who, perfect circle, radiohead, pink floyd, nirvana, the pixies, the beatles. any few of those. then give her velvet underground's white noise and led zeppelin's houses of the holy and see what happens.
