Fighting Destiny (Prologue)

It was going to be a great summer, at least that was Nino´s plan for it; in a few weeks they'll be free of school and he would have all the time in the world to play his videogames, and to hung out with his friends of course, how can he forget about them. Even if they were in different classrooms they were his best friends. He met Aiba when he joined the Baseball Club, they were both very good at it and soon they were inseparable. With Aiba came Ohno who was his neighbour and classmate, and Nino was happy for he feels that Ohno can understand him like nobody does and sometimes he wonder if he can read his mind witch it’s kind of creepy, but what the hell, he loves his friends and that’s all that matters.
They were already making plans of what they were going to do, play and maybe take a short trip together also, but nothing prepared Nino for what was going to happen in the following weeks and all the rush of emotions, confusion and twists of fate that were coming his way.
It all started at the last baseball game of the year, they played again a private school of "pompous students whose parents don't know what to do with their money" as Nino says often. They weren't strong so it was an easy win for Nino and Aiba's team and they were planning to celebrate, as always Aiba was taking a long time in the showers and Nino decided to find Ohno to go together with the whole team, they all liked Ohno anyways. He was walking through the halls and that's when he saw him... that was the moment he felt in love.
That guy was just standing there talking to some friends; there were some girls around them, all smiling and trying to get their attention. He was just a little taller than Nino, maybe a little alder too, he could tell that guy have a silly and tender side despite his serious face, but what made Nino speechless was his smile, a gentle and brilliant smile that broke in one second all the prejudices that he had about that school, oh how he wished he could study there.
And then that guy turn to him and look directly at him and his smile seemed to grown bigger, maybe was just Nino’s illusion but he decided to believe that. A sudden call for him made him turn around to find Ohno with raised eyebrow and a playful smile, like saying got you.. That caused him to blush deeply and tried to play it off just laughing and dragging Ohno to get Aiba and the others. Nino turned his head around to see that guy again but he was no longer there, his heart dropping a little.
When they were eating celebrating their victory, Nino’s mind kept remembering that guy and his stomach would feel strange, but in a nice way, he always assume he like girls, he did really, but now everything was a mess. Nino made an excuse himself to return early to his house, he needed some serious thinking to do and a handsome young man to dream about.
When he woke up, he already had made a resolution, he was going to look for him, just look at him at the distance, anything to help him understand the feeling in his chest so he pretended to be sick and stayed “resting”. His plan was simple: he would do to that school and wait for him when classes were over. As both of his parents worked nobody was going to find out. However, when he was there he received a call from Aiba telling him that he and Ohno were on their way to his house, so now Nino has to return home as quickly as possible trying not to think much in how he was becoming a stalker. He was just a few block from his house when it happened. He was too distracted to notice the car coming his way, and a second later he was on the floor in great pain.
Luckily the impact wasn’t that strong but he had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days, some bruises and a broken leg was the result. He had to stay in his house for the last month of school, he complained, but his parents were determinate to not let him leave the house, his mother even asked for a few weeks permission to care for him. When they asked him why he was out of the house if he was sick, he just said that he was feeling better and decided to rent some videos to watch with his friends. But when he was alone, he would think about the real reason and blame himself for being so stupid to chase around a guy he just saw once. He promised himself that he would never act like a lovesick schoolgirl again in his life; and about that guy, the feeling in his chest was still there but he was just going to let it pass, the chances to meet him again were very low and he was going to leave everything as it was, he didn’t need more that the love of his parents and his friends. No, he doesn’t need more, that’s what he told himself everyday.
But destiny has another plan for him.

So, this is my second fic, I still have doubts about it, lets just see how it goes.
