My loverly host is leaving me
My host, sweetstar.net is closing her domain. Which means I'll have to look for a new home for Frog Days, which will be hard because I get turned down often. Below is the message she left before the domain went on no bandwidth. I'll miss the domain Vero, and I had lots of fun being a hostee!
sweetstar.net will not be returning
I'm sure none of you are surprised. it was pretty much dead, what with all the server changes and downtime. to those of you who were waiting anxiously for my return... thanks. it's nice to know I had fans out there.
Why am i leaving ss.net? well, it's quite simple: it lost its specialness when people started finding and flaming it. the drama, the drama. it hurt. alot. It's one thing when a friend chews you out on her blog, but it's different when someone you thought was your friend turns around and tries to set everyone against you and tries to make you hate them...
Moving on...
sweetstar.net was my 17th birthday present from my parents. I was planning on renewing it in the short time before it expires... but I'm not. Instead, I will be purchasing a new domain, which will be more personal than collective. More security measures will be taken so it maintains its secrecy. The only downside to my new domain will be that I will no longer be hosting. I will be taking my three offline friends who I host with me if they want to still be hosted- (that means Vanessa, Kora, and Lux) - and I'll try to find good homes for everyone else.
I wish I had had a chance to get to know some of my hostees better, but I do love you all very much. I hope you understand why I am making this decision. You guys can stick around until June, or move out beforehand. Either way, please let me know what's happening.
All of my sites hosted on ss.net will be moved to the new domain. They are all still up.
It's been a wild ride, people. And you haven't seen the last of me.
