Sorry... I haven't read them. And since the actor playing the vampire looks like a throwback with a missing gene (IMO) and apparently twinkles in the sunlight, I don't think I will be watching the film.

I understand the author is one of these far right American types. Just that fact put me off finding out more.

Never read them or seen the movie, but I found this and thought it was hilarious. The ending is particularly relevant to your concerns. =P

Fine, I'll confess. I've read ALL four books. I'm not sure about sexist, but I'd say it's rather unwholesome for what is supposed to be a book series for children. Bella tends to get too...detailed sometimes ( ... )

I have, all of them!(And its sort of a guilty pleasure. Although I dont have much interest in seeing the film, its enough to keep it in my head ( ... )
