Reading our local paper this morning you'll be pleased to know that in Sheffield, the BNP were way down the field. In fact in Sheffield, the Labour vote held! Strange! The Lib Dems vote fell, as did the Tories, who came third.
Very interesting - Sheffield must really be a Labour stronghold. And it kinda makes me laugh at that plonker Nick Clegg claiming Sheffield is a Lib Dem hotspot. Errrr, no. We all know how much of OUR money you spent on your garden, Mr Clegg :D
The BNP vote massively increased in Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, all very 'white' areas, but also areas hit by the recession very hard. If you leave people without work, they do tend to protest vote to the extreme. If they don't like it, they know what to do.
