I support gay marriage, so today I wore a pin that my friend Max designed and I got a lot of negative responses to it. I've worn it twice to school already and the ignorant assholes that create the majority of my high school, have asked me questions like "I thought you were straight?" I am straight, but I know that marriage is about love, nothing

Oh same here and I was so sad today when people gave me crap about the pin. Not because people were making fun of me, but because it shows how ignorant they are. That saddens me. Thank you so much for that link. I am signing the petition right now. I have some friends who will not recite the pledge of alliance until gay marriage is legal in all 50 states. I think I might start doing that.

I <3 the pin soooo much. It's got two brides and a rainbow flag behind it. I'm going to take a picture of it and post it on here. My brother and sister have one too. My brother is 14 and "punk". He's got lots of pins of bands and in the middle of all of them there is the pro gay marriage pin. My sister is three years old and she has it on her jacket. My mom put it on her and it's really cute to see her running around with it on.

just out of curiosity, where are you from, i live in new jersey, very close to the city (montclair), i wish i had a pin, i could put it on my messanger bag, i like the idea of not saying the pledge of allegiance until gay marriage is legal in all fifty states, i think they should also alter the pledge and omit the line "one nation under god" because the country policiy is tolerance of all relgions (or lack of one) and although that line satisfies the beliefs of christianity, Judaism, and Islam, it can be very offensive to atheists, hindus, buddhists, jains, taoists etc. i never say that line, sorry for that digression, does your friend sell those pins?

I live in Southampton, New York. The infamous Hamptons. I'm a local though, I'm not one of the Hamptonite socialites. He doesn't sell them himself, he sells them through the Parrish Art Musuem which is our local museum. I could pick one up for you if you'd like.
