I don't know if this is true or not, but apparently it's illegal in Australia to not cast a vote in an election? If you don't vote, they'll fine you on your taxes. The purported reason for this is that 'Australians are so apathetic that if given the choice not to vote, the turnout for federal elections might be single digits.' And apparently, ( Read more... )

This is so cool and fascinating. At first I thought it was just another "LOVE YOUR BODY NO MATTER WHAT ITS SIZE AND SHAPE" project, and I guess it is, but it also seems to be more than just that, which pleases me. Anyway, I really want to buy the book.

I hate dreams that make you wake up crying and screaming "no!" Though, this is really the first time where I've woken up crying and just screaming "no" over and over again. This is the summer I take the bar. I'm supposed to be holed up in a library somewhere, memorizing tons and tons of things that I knew before and forgot, or didn't know before and just learned. Also, I'm supposed to be stressing myself out beyond belief. Right?
