Have you no sense of tradition?

I put all the same lights, the same ancient ornaments with paint peeling off them, the same plastic canvas and beaded ornaments from memere. We used to have an old, really ugly tree skirt that was breaking apart. Might I use that one for tradition's sake? or should I keep the pretty new handmade one and be accused of breaching tradition?

(oh, have you seen the REAL wreath hanging on our door recently? nope. no ugly bells this year.)
