Race For the Cure Today

Got up at 5:00 5:15, made coffee, took a shower.

Bowl of Cheerios and two cups of coffee out the door by 6:15ish

Parked at 7

Picked up my bib and T-Shirt and made it to the start about 5 minutes
after 8:00

Finished in 42:24 race time, so it would seem that we made fairly good time.
Had a banana and some fruit juice then hit the Yoplait truck.

nice work babe! I'm very proud :) I love going to walks and stuff, it is so cool to see so many people coming together.

I will pass on the marathon though, lol, i don't run far unless someone is chasing me with a gun or something :D

I presume that you, like me, are not currently doing 5 days a week of walking jogging.

So, we should find something 8+ months away.

In fact, week 1 is more of a stretch than not in this "base mileage" chart.
At this point, what I know is that I can jog(walk) ~3 miles 2 times in about a week.

Um. Not ready to commit to that yet. Let me do this 5k in September and I'll see what the deal is after.

I don't know that I am ready either, but I have learned that without a target I don't do nearly so well.

Thanks for running. I did a half marathon... that was enough. I was actually registered to run New York that year (hey, it was on my birthday,... and I got in on my first try). 13.1 miles, far enough for this girl. Now walking, that's another story...
