Well, right, so the Decemberists were amazing, Istanbul was amazing, I also went to Bodrum and Bulgaria, which was sweet, and now I'm back. What do you say when people ask you about a trip? "It was great!" And it was. Pictures are on Facebook

Small world (which I've been thinking every time I see you mention Istanbul) - I'm going there next month over Easter. Anything you can particularly recommend? Only in Istanbul for a few days, but so looking forward to it!

Whoa, totally forgot about this comment. See the things you're supposed to see-- the Hagia Sophia is totally worth the money you pay for it. And lots of cool things are free-- all the mosques and stuff. Go to the Spice Bazaar, it is awesome and totally cooler than the Grand Bazaar. Climb on the city walls. Have an awesome time!

Haha no worries. Three weeks until I go to Istanbul!
Definitely going to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Thanks for the point about the Spice Bazaar (had heard much more about the Grand Bazaar, but seen a bit about the Spice Bazaar as well). Very good point about the city walls! Thanks :D
