The first snow fell in town overnight and this morning. November 14th. It has never before been so late in the year before Denver got its first snow. We usually start looking for it at the end of September, and if there still hasn't been any before the middle of October, we deem it an unusual weather year ( Read more... )

No snow in NC yet -- the leaves are just starting to change. We had a cold snap a couple weeks ago, but today it's probably in the 60s and just a little rainy.

I can't believe the carols are starting now, how horrid. I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving. I'm going to NM and spending a few days in a cabin with my parents in the mountains. It'll be the first time I've been to NM for Thanksgiving since 2000, my freshman year of college!

I've found that since I don't watch tv, listen to the radio, or really go to malls, I tend to miss out on these cultural updates. It's kind of a strange thing. I feel like I'm pretty media-savvy. . .at the same time I'm always like, "wait, Thanksgiving is in HOW many days ( ... )
