Rex turned the shower on quickly and stepped in still not even fully undressed. Ice cold water bit at his skin as he stripped his shirt and pants off. He swallowed heavily, leaning his head against the tile.
"Can I go back to the track with you, Rex?"
The question had been innocent enough and Rex couldn't help but smile at how enamored his little brother had become with the thrill of racing though he couldn't say it really surprised him... It was what Speed had said next that had sent Rex into his current state.
"I want to sit in your lap again! It felt good."
Rex sometimes wondered if Speed wasn't maybe a little too obsessed with him. But when Speed had said that while running his fingers up Rex's inner thigh something in him broke and he had to run away. The bathroom had seemed the only logical place. He'd locked the door and when Speed banged on the door and asked him what was wrong he'd acted like he hadn't heard him and turned on the shower.
He sighed and pooled some cold water in his hands, running it over his face and his hair as if to clear his head somehow.
He knew it had been a bad idea to let Speed drive in his lap but damn it if that kid didn't have a way of getting what he wanted! He'd felt so warm, so right there on top of him. Rex's hands had fallen unconsciously to Speed's hips and he'd purposefully breathed into Speed's ear, his fingers pushing down gently on Speed's hips. He'd seen the blush the crossed Speed's face and the happiness that lit up in his eyes... and... and...
...He was a monster... and his little brother was in love with him.
Rex punched the wall and held his head with the other. There was no easy way out of this... and the worst part was Rex wasn't entirely sure he wanted out of it.
He stepped out of the shower, cold and shivering. It had done its purpose, chilling his body enough to destroy its lustful desires... but no amount of cold could quell the heated passion of his heart and as he opened the bathroom door with a towel wrapped around his waist only to see his little brother huddled in a ball on the floor, crying his eyes out he knew that's what would get him in trouble.
"Do you hate me?!" Speed chocked through his sobs and Rex's heart broke as he leaned down and pulled Speed to him despite being wet and cold.
"I could never hate you, Speedy. I love you." Hearing himself say it made his heart stir again and already he could feel Speed's wracking sobs diminish and he heard a slight giggle come from his shoulder where Speed had laid his head.
"I love you too, Rex." Speed chuckled again licking at the water that dripped from Rex's hair and trailed down his neck. Rex quickly pulled Speed back, staring him down with widened eyes.
"You shouldn't do that, Speed!" Rex blushed hotly and was suddenly thankful that his towel was loose enough to cover him. Speed giggled again.
"But I love you, Rex."
Rex's head sank to his chest as he held Speed's shoulders. This was going to be a long road, indeed.
