the sadness of friends

Unfortunately, most everyone is gone..to new horizons and new people. I'd like to think that we will all remain in touch, but reality is that we may be hoping for too much. A friend sent me this poem and i feel it describes our hopes and wishes to remain friends forever....in each other's minds....and not people we purposely avoid in the street.
