Today is a day for a)going down to the post office and b)translating Latin. Both of these are likely to contain some difficulties.
The Swedish government, in their relentless unwisdom, closed down the post offices and turned them into a franchise. This means that the post is nowadays picked up, in my case, at the gas station - and we should note

I had it bad enough when studying English law, which put its own spin on Latin. My best friend/currently next door neighbour, with a First in Latin, reached the point of putting her head back and howling over medieval Latin, the first time she met "super corneram" as allegedly Latin for "on the corner". Her view is that for any date after about 1000, you have to know the language the writer grew up speaking in order to understand the Latin they wrote.

I like Latin, but not 18th century Latin. Epecially not bad 18th century Latin...
