I finished another sketchbook yesterday, and then started thinking about how I rather persistently draw for a bit every day, but rarely have anything to post here or on my tumblr. If simply sketching things like ( this )
This is SUCH a wonderful idea! I actually try to do this with writing...a little bit every day...but I've been a little stumped lately.
I wholly endorse using the '100 Things' challenge for sketching!
Every artist should do this, actually. I need to make WAY better use of my time for things like this. I love your little Sam watercolor. I've been lusting after watercolors for a loooong time, and never really mastered the medium. I think that'll be my summer goal: to do more with ink washes and watercolors.
And your perspective makes me drool. LOVE the last pic sooooooo hard.
Wow I find it's so impressing that you both write and draw, I'm narrow-mindedly just thinking about drawing, but of course it's the same for anything you try to get better at!
I must admit I thought the highlight of being a professional artist was having time to draw everyday.. Is that ignorant? ^^; Yay watercolors, sounds like an excellent goal for summer! :D I can't decide if I want to try to learn that or gouache more.
And I LOVE your icon, and that drawing, the green and pretty and all the details, the little bees and small tree in the pot and glittering water and everything!.. soorry about my bad commenting habits. /o\
I think I should start taking some serious inspiration after you. The way you fill up sketchbooks is awe-inspiring. ♥ I have moleskine sketchbooks, but I rarely use them because I'm the kind of person who likes to by the giant sketchbooks half the size of myself and all the different types of paper, and then cut my paper down and work from that. But it doesn't let me function in the practice sense of drawing a bit everyday. Which is something I honestly think I should start doing.
I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD DO THE CHALLENGE. It's really fun and I'm also greedy and selfish and would love to see all the art from you.
And I still absolutely love that wincest painting. It will forever smack me in the face with it's beauty. ♥
Yes you should try if it interests you! I'll be so pleased if I somehow help to inspire you to draw more, there can never be enough of your art! ♥ I admire anyone who uses moleskine, (I need the kind where you can rip out failed pages xD) and giant sketchbooks, that sounds wonderful! Perhaps you could get a smaller one as well, to carry with you at all times? That's what I do and at least for me it's been very useful. I used to have this huge anxiety whenever faced with a blank sheet of paper, to the point there I couldn't draw most of the time... Now it's just part of daily routine (kind of) :) Still, sometimes I feel like I'm just filling pages for the sake of doing it, so I'm hoping that by doing the '100 things challenge' it'll give the sketching some more sense of purposefulness. :D
That just makes me even more impressed with your fic writing skills ;) Oh is he an artist? Maybe you'll discover you have his talent too, if you decided you wanted to learn! :)

And I don't think there is, so I'll probably do what you suggested :)
