Your art ALWAYS makes me smile! Without fail. I think that's because you really find a way to tug at the viewer's heartstrings. The little drawings are my favorites. Your linework is DIVINE. But that horseback one...total love! The textures in the digital paintings make them feel less digital and more human, which is such a good thing. :D And Jared asleep on Jensen's belly...awwww!
Aww thank you SO much! ♥ I'm silly happy to hear you like my scrawny lines! :D I was actually sneaking glances at some of your art while painting the skin and trying to figuring out how it's done (so difficult!).
So I as I was looking over these again, I started crying at how exquiste they are. (Pat yourself on the back for that!) They are just so lovely and exactly like I pictured the scenery when I was writing them. You do such amazing work and I am so humbled and honored to have gotten to work with you. THANK YOU so much for bringing these two and one little Texan town to life for me. I am blessed for getting to work with you. THANK YOU, lamapan, you're the best!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Aww you're too kind, but I'm really so happy that you like it and feel that it fits with the story! The honor was all mine and I was so lucky to illustrate a story with such gorgeous scenery, thank you so much! ♥ ♥ ♥
This is AMAZING art! Jared in the orchard is downright gorgeous. That is one awesome piece of art. I'm also rather fond of the horse scene (and those shadows!), and the pencil piece where they're snuggling -- such intimacy there.
Also, your lighting in the one where they're smooching -- the foggy glow coming off those light standards is so realistic and lovely. Awesome art!
. . . what media did you use for the color pieces? The Jared one looks almost pastel-y, but the night scene looks like acrylic (except for the glow of the lights -- that's just plain magic.)
Thank you, aww I'm super happy you liked my drawings! The color ones are all done in photoshop, I played a little with different brushes so the results looks a bit different too. I kind of wished I had been a little more consistent with it though. How to use light is something my beta often have to remind me about, so I'm really trying to think of it and learn do it better, and it makes me so glad to hear you like it and think it worked. :)
