I have found such a cool product: Kiss Me mascara. The wand looks normal, but somehow it coats lashes in tiny tubes. The effect is quite nice, and it doesn't smudge or clump.

Last night I watched a stream of passengers debark at a stop. A woman with a baby in a stroller then began climbing in. One of the departing passengers turned back to sort of pass the stroller from ground level up the steps to the mom. It made me happy. She was holding onto an up-high bar near the front of the train. As he boarded and found room to stand, he reached for the bar--only to find the bar was discontinued for a segment right where he was.
