post-surgery update

Feb 14, 2009 19:19

Hi all! First off I'd like to say thanks to all who've been concerned about me, and all who've been putting up with me lately. ;-) Secondly, if you've got "have rotator cuff surgery" on your list of things to do before you die, you can scratch it right off! I'll vouch that it sucks. =P The surgery actually went well...Dr. Joe fixed the tendon tear ( Read more... )

I have been busy! I finally wrote something and it was such a relief. I thought my writing days were over and I needed to head out to pasture. *snort*

I also joined OL after all these years. Same name over there. And I found an Eric thread over there! Yeah ;)

*snogs*

Applauding you for struggling through such a large amount of typing to let us know how you're doing! Good to hear Dr Sexy has done the deed so well, keep smiling Lamby, we're thinking of you!!!

Janet Evanovich just rocks - I ADORE her books, my USA neighbour kind of dangles them in front of me each time she buys a new one - she's a shocking tease, but always lets me dive right in - always done overnight too, can't put them down. Hmmm, Ranger....

The last series to rock my socks was Twilight so can't help, writing instead of reading again these days, nothing really grabs me and drags me under although I do have an entire mountain of Terry Goodkind to wade through before I die. Have you read the Terry Pratchett books? Just brilliant and funny and so clever - Discworld series (there are so many now, should keep you occupied).

Whatever, just take it easy and try to be a good girl, hard I know, but do try!

healing hugs coming your way.

cheers
Luna
xx

*huggle* Hey Luna! I LOVE the Stephanie Plum books too, they make me laugh out loud. Mmmm...Ranger... I adored the Twilight series, have not tried Terry Pratchett so I may have to look those up! Good thing our library is well stocked. ;-)

So, you don't like typing with one hand? Wuss :P

PD James is always good, though I wasn't too fond of her latest book. :(

I've started to re-read Stephen King's Dark Tower series of 7 books. They're very un-Stephen King-ish. :P Kind of a hybrid of western movie meets LOTR meets Wizard of OZ... if you can picture that, LOL. They're not horror at all, but quite interesting, IMO.

Hope the healing happens at Mack III... you must be healed, totally before May. *hint: we got our taxes done today :D *

So you don't owe Uncle Sam a bazillion dollars? SWEET! We need to get down to brass tacks now. *rubs hands gleefully*

Hmmm, I can try Dark Tower as long as it's not horror, as I don't have the stomach for that. I tried Dean Koontz once a long time ago and had nightmares for weeks, big wimp that I am! But I do like westerns and LOTR. =P Thanks for the rec!

Nah, not horror at all... Some bad guy wizard stuff and a tiny bit of scary/sad crap in, I think it's the 4th book... but not horror at all.

Nope! Only a half a billion this year! *dances like an idiot* So don't have to come up with that other half a billion I was counting on paying out. That should just about cover a plane ticket, movie ticket and one or two meals... I can fast the rest of the time. :D

I need a ST icon *goes on the prowel*

*SQUEE* I can get movie tickets through work cheap, so you'll only have to fast a little. ;-)
