No, this isn't an illusion...I'm posting! :-) It's been a long time, or it feels like it anyway. Vacation in New Orleans was simply fabulous (I'll be posting pics to bore you all with too!) but once I got back we began the dreaded Home Improvement Project. The upstairs bathroom for the kids has been gutted completely, and we've got a new tub, new ( Read more... )

Hey, good to see you Lamby! Glad to hear the trip was fab, look forward to the details!

Sounds like you've been working hard. Soon you'll be able to just sit and admire it all eh? : )

Ugh spiders, in our house we get black ones that look like scorpions and if you think yours was big you would not want to see some of ours...*shudders*

I love Peridot too, have a lovely 'old style' matching necklace and earring set. I did not know either it could come from meteorites, how cool is that!

So sweet of you Lynne to be thinking of us. I know things haven't been easy for you at times. I love that quote about Autistic children being like stars. That's really beautiful. Thank you *hug*

I can't wait to see your New Orleans pictures and hear all about it! It's such a fun, unique place. I'm glad you had a good time.

The baby birds are so cute! My cat kills anything that is alive in our yard so no birds ever. She even killed a wild bunny the other day :(

Good luck with the renovations. Redoing bathrooms is a big job! I hope you will post pictures of that as well.

Welcome Back!!!!!

aww great to be getting the house all ship shape! Very satisfying :D I just painted my little kitchen extra room green too- which is unusual for me. Is a kind of light olive I guess- called 'old school crockery'.

Spiders...yeeeuch. But yeah good luck in the garden- have palnted a few things here, but is so small I am limited to pots really. I would love to have a garden with some space like yours.
Good to hear from you, I look forward to pics from New orleans! XX

Our paint is called "spinach white", which I don't think very apt since it is very light green, kind of sage-ish. I enjoy the garden very much, especially with food prices skyrocketing around here. Phoo! Good to be home again. :-)

Hey...hello dear,nice to see you!
Ha! don't tell me about paint cans accidents...I think I had all of them LOL...and about spiders...well I have a wide range of sizes and colours in my place.Last year I was fricked out by one of those giant black shiny, almost methalic, and I was alone and HAD to kill it myself...*shuders*...I covered with a towell, hit it about a hundred times with the broom and then I hoovered it...aaack!!
Looking forward for those pics...and good luck with your vegetable garden... hope your pumpkin is the bigger one :-)

Heehee...I am deathly afraid of killing the big spiders but the only thing worse would be knowing they'd still be alive and running about the house with me! buggers. Good to see you too!

Hi, Lamby! I'm so glad you decided to share a pic of the baby birds instead of the spider. :)

I hope the birds make it. Life can be rough on these little creatures. Something similar happened at my place with some mourning dove's eggs in a nest but the eggs were snatched before ever hatching. It broke my heart.

That was news to me about peridots. I have the same reaction as you - that is so cool.

It sounds like things are going pretty well in your life. <3

Monty! *smooooooooch* Awwww, how sad about the poor little birdies. I hope these guys make it, they are so cute! I now think peridots are way more awesome than I used to. ;-)
