On Dasher, on Dancer...

Zounds, is it really only two weeks till Christmas? I always think I have LOADS of time to get out pressies and cards and then of course I don't...am just getting things into the mail now so they'll likely be late. And a couple of people I could not find addresses for, so I am a slacker. *hangs head* Anyone with Nel's or lola's addys and willing to ( Read more... )

Good to see you Lamby!*squishy hugs* Check your LJ messages, have sent you both addresses, I'm sure Nel and Lola won't mind. : )

A difficult choice regarding the job - change is always challenging, even when things are not particularly to your liking. Changing when you're happy with the status quo requires a lot more courage. I guess Aragorn would say: "What does your heart tell you?" : D Some risks are worth taking, and only you know whether this is one of them.

Lots of love and happy holiday wishes to you too.XXX

Damn, I love a woman who can quote Lord of the Rings. :-) Thank you for the addresses! Change is an especially hard thing for me, I usually resist it for all I'm worth ;-) so this is a very hard decision to try and make. XO

I think it's time for another viewing of LOTR...

Well you have the advantage of having your friends working in the other place, they should be able to give you a pretty good idea about the working environment and boss etc. to help you make an informed decision. Change is challenging but perhaps less so when you choose it, as opposed to being pushed into it. Listen to your gut feelings on this one!XXX

Hmmm... I thought I was doing really well...and then I realized I have almost no gifts purchased. LOL

Glad to hear your back is doing better hon.

And the job offer is interesting. It's tough to leave a really good boss - there are too many bad ones. I would suggest that if you do consider it, you find out who your boss would be and how that person is as a boss. The lst three jobs I've left, it's been all about bad-bossing. Also, what is the advancement potential, flexibility etc? Good luck.

Have a great holiday!

I know exactly what you mean, a good boss is like finding gold...I'd me much more tempted to take the other job if I knew my boss would be moving on soon higher up the corporate ladder, but I don't know if I have the guts to ask him something like that directly. Happy holidays to you too! :-)

So pleased to hear your back is doing okay Lamby - you sound/feel less stressed and much more calm in this post than in previous ones - lovely! Don't envy your choice, I love my job and it would be hard to leave so I understand your dilemna! I know things come along for a reason though ... good luck making your decision xxx

Toilet humour will never die while there are men in the world. And they NEVER stop thinking it's funny - sigh xx

Tough decision. Like others have said, find out what you can about both situations I suppose, weigh the pros and cons, and if you're leaning one way more than the other, that's telling you something as well. *hugs* Hope it all works out well!
