[permissions]

Cat is one of those dreaded psychics, and since I'm having her come out about that it seems like a good time to create a permissions post! Her abilities are two-fold: she's an astral projector and an oneironaut, or dream explorer, and they work in conjunction.

As an astral projector, Cat can generate an astral body and transfer her consciousness into it; this astral body is a psychic construction with some severely weird properties that allow Cat to shift it from visible and somewhat tangible (like foam, essentially) to invisible and intangible, and every combination in between. She can never quite appear human, being slightly translucent and glowing, but in dim light or darkness she can occasionally fool people. She can handle very small objects and exert a certain amount of force when projecting, but the major offensive ability she possesses is psychic - she can induce horrible headaches, vertigo and disorientation, and drain people emotionally to the point of no longer having the will to like...move. She refrains from the last except under extremely dire circumstances, because it's terrible!

While jaunting around like this, Cat can enter the dreams of sleeping people, which is where oneironautics comes in! While in dreams, Cat has very limited abilities to influence their landscapes, and can generally move freely, but otherwise has to abide by the dream's internal logic. However, what she can do is work through the dream with the dreamer, particularly when she prompts them to become lucid (link full of information!) within it.

So without further ado, a series of questions for people interested in interacting with this, although any and all dream adventures will have to be established prior to their advent via IC interaction between Cat and your character--OOC, I'm definitely not springing this on anyone:

1. Can Cat physically affect your character?
2. Do you want Cat to visit your character's dreams? If no, ignore the following questions.
3. How often does your character dream?
4. What does your character dream about?
5. Are these dreams unpleasant?
6. What would you like your character to achieve via dream therapy?
7. Anything else I should know about?
