A fickle little twister

I usually read before I go to bed. It’s a nice way to end the day, as it’s one of the most relaxing actives I can think of. At least, normally it is. Tonight my reading material was American Psycho (a book that is not titled ironically) and I read a part that was so completely ghastly and horrifying, now I can’t fall asleep. Not A seizure, Joel. MULTIPLE seizures... but I hope that you'll come to really love the movie the more you think about it. Personally, I find it more and more enjoyable with every viewing, as it's so complex. I always seem to come across awesome little details on re-viewings.

As for American Psycho, if you thought the thing with the bum was disgusting, you are in for a real treat. Things that are FAR more disturbing than anything you saw in Oldboy are waiting for you in the pages ahead. But there's also a lot of hardcore sex... so... yay!

And if you're feeling brave enough to see a REALLY terrifying and disturbing movie, why don't you try Irreversible... between a nauseating 25 minute dance club scene, a 13 minute rape scene, and a guy getting his face bashed in with a fire extinguisher, I think you'll probably pass out. Hands down the most distubring movie I've ever seen-- and yet, I think I'd see it again at some point (even though it kept me up for a few nights the first time around).

Oh yeah, and Oldboy is like, 2003... not 95. Don't know where you got that from.

Just wait for the part with the prostitutes... American Psycho kept me up at night too. I remember feeling like I needed to puke a number of times. Its a good book, but I'll never read it again.
