I got an email from my mum, saying that my cat died last night

It was bound to happen, she's old and sick. My family has had her since I was a few weeks old.

Still, weird way to start the week.

The play I asst. produced went up this weekend. It was a pretty gnarly show, if I may say so myself. I had a good time being involved and met a lot of people, but especially during the week of the show, being asst. producer more or less meant either helping with manual labor or sitting around feeling useless. When you go to college, unless you're some kind of current affairs/journalism major, you basically lose track of what's going on in the world. The campus newspaper, which covers exciting events like a breakout of spiders in one of the residence halls, is much more readily available than a real newspaper.
