Awwwe, Nica. I feel your pain. I hate being put in awkward situations like that. When I worked for a hospital, I sometimes had to say things to patients that weren't exactly easy to get out. It really sucks.

At least the parents have someone who's kind and actually cares delivering the news. I mean it sucks to hear something like that but at least they won't get the news from some total bitch.

I think going back to school sounds awesome. I know a lot of people who get their undergrad degree and then realize that they're just not ready for what they're doing or want to move in another direction. Either way, getting another degree is always beneficial. I miss school. I kinda envy you. :p

Full-time work with part-time classes sounds like the way to go. Hopefully you'll be able to afford all of your basic necessities. Maybe you'll have to sacrifice a few things here and there but I'm sure you'll manage.

thanks V. I know that I can do it and it probably won't come across as being rude or high and mighty just because of how soft spoken I am. i'm always so hard on myself though.

i think that i'll most likely try to stick it out at this job at least until june. that way i'll have put in a year there. i can do it!!

Mon! <3

If I were you, I'd try to stick it out at the new job for a few months. Sometimes you grow to like something once you get used to it- and if not then you'll know for sure that you made the right choice in finding something else to do. Plus, you can look at this as practice for what you'll be doing later on. Just be yourself. I'm sure you can do it, although I completely understand your discomfort in calling someone about how they're neglecting their children. You'd be doing such a great thing for these kids though.

Either way, I'm sure you'll make the right decision for yourself in the end. Good luck!

you're right. i know that i can do it. i just get into these modes where i worry for nothing. the same thing happened to me at my last job where i hated it and then eventually grew to enjoy it, so much so that i've decided to make it my career. i guess i can stick this out until i finish school again. i'm definitely going to try to make a year there before giving up. it's just some days i feel like there's no way i can possibly do it anymore. i usually get over it though cuz it just makes more sense to stay somewhere where i am financially stable especially if i'm planning to start school and move out.

thanks! <3

HOLY NUTS!!! JO?!?!?! Hi!!!

Anyways Nica dear, I hope you choose what makes you happy. I know what you mean about the money thing though. Im at that point (sorta) too. Do I keep my crappy job that will get me a lot of money or do I want to do something semi-related to my major in hopes I can get a good job when I'm out of college, but then in turn get paid like, .06 an hour....life's rough and I give you a hug. :) It'll work out...don't worry too much...
