I went to my first gaming convention this weekend, Ucon 2011, and had such a good time. Didn't get to play the board games I'd had my eye on; they sold out early. I painted a miniature, played a Hogwarts role playing game, was amazed at the multitudinous dice in the vendor area. I'd really wanted to see some live play of Magic: The Gathering,

Yes! Dungeons and Dragons was happening. I didn't realize that there was this whole subculture going on!
