Am I the only person on LJ who isn't flipping their spleen over this sudden "no more basic accounts, now it's advertisements for all" business? Is it really such an enormous imposition, to have some ads here and there? Have I just gotten too used to all the other sites on the Internet having commercial claptrap scattered about that I can just ( Read more... )

I am completely confused RE: the interest stripping. LJ's Powers That Be are coming across as a little cracked in the head. But I'm not feeling inclined to proclaim doom from the rooftops.

A commercial is a commercial is a commercial. You either go the kitchen, the bathroom, or scroll past. Quite frankly, I don't see what the hullabaloo is all about. Then again, my sons tell me I'm too mellow for my own good some times.
