Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.
Today I finally got my brother to come round and remove the bulk of the furniture that had to leave the house, so that I can set up the nursery.
The telephone calls went like this.
First Call - Thursday:
Me:'The new lounge suite is being delivered tomorrow, when can you pick up the old ones?'
Brother: 'I can come in the arvo, I'm busy in the morning. Call me when you know the delivery time.'
Second (Third and Fourth) Call - Friday Morning (before delivery): No answer
Fifth Call - Friday (after the lounge suite has been delivered)
Me: 'The lounge has been delivered, what time can I expect you?'
Brother: 'I'm at work, is after 6.30pm alright?'
Me: 'Not really, I will be at work, call hubby see if he will be there.'

Seventh Call - Saturday Evening
Hubby: 'Hey, when are you going to come?'
Brother: 'Talk to my dad, he might be able to help?'
No Call - Sunday - Ran into dad at the servo (yes, we did, had to fill up the car and drove into the servo and parked behind dad)
Me: 'When will brother be able to come and collect the old furniture?'
Dad: 'Tomorrow'
Me: 'Is this for sure'
Dad: 'We are going to work together today, I will bring the trailer back and he can come to you tomorrow'
Me: 'Great, Thanks'
Eighth Call - Sunday Evening
Me: 'What's happening tomorrow?'
Brother: 'Can we do it on Tuesday?'
Me: 'If you like, but are you working then?'
Brother: 'I'll call you back and I'll let you know'
Ninth Call (he didn't call back)
Me: 'Well?'
Brother: 'I'll call back in a minute.'

Mum: 'No, haven't spoken to him all weekend, you have spoken to him more recently.'

Mum: 'Possibly, do you want her number?'
Me: 'Sure'

Twenty-ninth Call - 5.20pm
Brother: 'I'm coming to you now.'

Thirty-first Call - 8.45pm
Hubby: 'Where are you?'
Brother: 'I'm downstairs in the carpark.'
Hubby: 'Prove it.'
Ten minutes later... The doorbell rings
At this point when shown what had to go, he decides that he hadn't been told about all that would be going and that he may not have enough room for it all (he did). Hubby said that they should at least try, and they proceded to remove the two lounge chairs, the coffee table, and the two desks (from the spare room/nursery), although there was a bit of an argument when he realised that our sideboard would have to be moved to get the desk out.
At 9.50pm he left.
And so the saga ends (well almost, he will have to come back another day, to pick up the bbq and the bike, but they are going somewhere else, and they are not in the way, so we decided it's not too much of a prob for them to stay a few more days)
