Ambulances are fun!
Finally, I get to work on an ambulance. It's my first day at Dodge Center Ambulance as an EMT-Basic (about damn time, I know). So far there haven't been any calls and they've been saying it's been pretty quiet around here lately so who knows what'll happen today. Finally! Internet access again! So I just got back from my grandfather's funeral Saturday afternoon and I've got to say that I am amazed at how many people showed up. So I had something not so good happen this week. On Thursday afternoon my grandpa died. Turns out he had some sort of tear in his lungs and trachea from coughing so hard so often due to his smoking. I'm not dead! I've just been ignoring my lj, a lot. There hasn't been a whole lot interesting going on in my life other than school and work in between semesters. Heart Trouble
So great news guys. My dad has to go in for heart surgery this week. When he went to his last checkup they found out that two of his arteries were almost completely blocked. One 60% and the other 80%. They say the surgery has a very high likely hood of success but the surgery might cause problems with his kidney since he's on his third ( Read more... ) -
