i'm glad to say that i have NO idea how hard it is to type with fake nails. i'm sure it sucks though. don't worry so much about the flying - you'll live. have fun in new york!

Flying doesn't terrify me before I get on the plane, but the entire time i'm on the plane I think thoughts about how the plane could be slowly coming apart or something.

I'm exactly the opposite--once I'm ON a plane, I'm absolutely fine, but beforehand, if I let myself think about it, I'm very, very nervous.
