YES.
I totally won that bet with Dad.
I told him there was going to be an attack on, at, or near Hogwarts--close enough for the students to see. More than likely in the Forbidden Forest, 'cause of the cover of the books. And DUMBLEDORE is going to bite the dust in that attack. I don't know who that Dark Mark on the back cover is for, but I'm just about positive it's for Dumbledore--or else it might be the catalyst that makes Harry and Dumbledore go out into the Forbidden Forest. Maybe Voldemort kills off a student (we know Ron, Hermione, and Ginny are safe 'cause they're on the back, and yes that's Ginny, shush), or one of his henchmen does...
Either way, that is SUCH a spoilery back cover. No wonder they didn't show us sooner. And the building in the background is almost undoubtedly Hogwarts. Maybe the students are shuffled off to the Forest and the centaurs guard them if the Dark Mark's over the school, maybe they're standing at the school and the Dark Mark's hanging over the Forest (which I think is what's going on).
So yes. Am now OFFICIALLY excited about this. One week to go...dammit, come sooner!
